The average person spend about 600 USD a month on fitness classes. Image how much money you would save if you trained yourself. With the growing number of boutique fitness studios popping up, they all have the same things in common. Most bootcamp use a version of HIIT for the cardio section either on a treadmill, bike or rowing machine and using basic weights for the strength training section. Basically all the workouts can be done at any hotel gym or even outside in your own backyard. Save your money for your next active vacation.

After working for top bootcamps in the fitness industry, I realized it’s more of a sales job then about helping others. I want to share that knowledge with you to empower others to create your own workout routines. Let’s start with cardio.

What is Cardio?

Cardio is a form of exercise that requires pumping of oxygenated blood by the heart to deliver oxygen to working muscles, other tissues and organs in the body. The more muscle equals higher calorie burn and faster metabolism. Your body uses up its stored energy during the resistance training and is then primed to burn oxygen and fat for fuel during the cardio session. Which is why it’s important to do some sort of strength training along with a cardio routine.

  • Reduced stress.
  • Reduced risk of heart disease and some types of cancer.
  • Temporary relief from depression and anxiety.

What is HIIT?

HIIT (high-intensity interval training) is a training technique in which you give one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time
